Knights of Prosperity Spoilers, Speculation & Gossip

The Knights of Prosperity running new episode August 8th

Thursday, July 19th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

If you were a fan of Knights of Prosperity, we have good news for you. ABC is bringing back the comedy next month for a summertime fling. One episode, Operation: Rent Money, never aired when the majority of the rest of the original episodes were aired. So ABC will be bringing back the show for fans who still have a desire to catch up on a new episode.

Rumor has it that there might actually be two new episodes airing that night, starting at 8:30 on August 8th. And there might be additional episodes airing August 15th and 22nd, also at 8:30.

We will keep you posted as we hear more!

Following up on a few shows we never got around to saying what the status was (okay, we didn’t actually think we had any readers even interested on what happened to Knights of Prosperity, but apparently there is at least one of you out there!) But yes, ABC did officially cancel Knights of Prosperity.

Fans either LOOOOOVED this show or despised it, and ABC was supporting it so much I thought it was going to be renewed even though it tanked in the ratings. But no such luck, it got the ABC boot.

Knights of Prosperity gets yanked from the ABC schedule

Well, Knights of Prosperity isn’t cancelled… yet… but it isn’t looking good either. ABC has pulled the low rated show from the current schedule. However, because it isn’t officially cancelled, ABC could put it back on the schedule once the competitive TV season ends in May.

ABC has pulled the low-rated freshman comedy “The Knights of Prosperity,” leaving the show’s remaining episodes in limbo.

The network announced on Monday (March 5) that the next three episodes of Donal Logue-centric heist comedy will be off the schedule, starting this Wednesday. The episode titled “Operation: Rent Money” will be replaced by a repeat of “According to Jim,” while repeats of “George Lopez” will take the “Prosperity” slot the following two weeks.

ABC’s scheduling release stops short of calling the series cancelled, but merely says “Not yet rescheduled” next to the three pulled episodes.

If it doesn’t make the schedule, though, it could potentially come back with the remaining episodes being available for viewing online at ABC.com.

ABC announces Knights of Prosperity series premiere date

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Knights of Prosperity, the odd television series has been given a death sentence before it has even seen the light of day, to add insult to injury of being yanked from the fall schedule without obvious reason. The Mick Jagger “inspired” series has been given the 9pm Wednesday time slot, meaning it is up against not only American Idol but also Criminal Minds (ABC has moved Lost out of the way of AI).

The Knights of Prosperity is a hilarious tale of haves and have nots, starring Donal Logue as the leader of a band of affable, new-age Robin Hoods who have never even shoplifted a candy bar, but now find themselves prepping for a heist to finance all of their long-held, heart-felt dreams. The target — Rock icon Mick Jaggers super luxe Central Park West apartment.

The Knights of Prosperity stars Donal Logue (Grounded for Life) as Eugene Gurkin, Sofa Vergara (Hot Properties) as Esperanza Villalobos, Lenny Venito as Francis Squatch Squacieri, Maz Jobrani as Gourishankar Gary Subramaniam, Kevin Michael Richardson as Rockefeller Butts and Josh Grisetti as Louis Plunk.

Knights will premiere on Wednesday, January 3rd

ABC Cuts Knights of Prosperity from the fall schedule

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Abc has decided to drop the expected October 17th premier of the odd show Knights of Prosperity.  The show, which follows the vague premise of breaking into Mick Jagger’s swanky New York City apartment (say what?) has received very little promo and rumors swirl that Mick Jagger, who initially filmed scenes for the show, wasn’t happy with it and had distanced himself from the project.

As a result ABC’s popular Dancing with the Stars will continue to air 90 minute Tuesday episodes.

There is no word on when the show will air, although the ABC episode player still shows the premiere episode will be available online October 18th.
